Most Ragdolls are "Seal" or black. Chocolate, Blue, and Lilac are also basic colors.
Red and its dilute, Cream, are less common but are also recognized for Ragdolls.
Tortie is a mix of Red and Black, similar to "Calico".
Terms such as "mitted", "bicolor" and "van" are applied to cats with more white either on their points or their bodies.
These cats are striped, typically on their points. If they are Tortie as well, they are called "Torbies".
These are officially recognized colors and patterns recognized by the two largest Cat Associations.
